C.E.R.T. Pictures of the 27 March 2008 Monthly Meeting

During the 27 March 2008 monthly C.E.R.T. meeting we were fortunate to have Captain Patrick Rutherford of the United States Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol) teach the team members the proper procedures and protocols of the use of the two-way radio.  Captain Rutherford also explained the capabilities of the Civil Air Patrol and how it could assist Woodbridge C.E.R.T. during various search and rescue scenarios if the event ever presented itself.  Besides being a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Captain Rutherford is also a team leader with the Manalapan Medical Reserve Corps/Community Emergency Response Team.  We thank Captain Rutherford for taking time out of his busy schedule to impart some of his extensive knowledge in radio communication to our team members.

Below are some of the pictures taken during his training session.  To see a larger version of any picture, place your cursor over the desired picture and "double-click" the right mouse button.

In September 2005, when the original thirteen (13) current team members graduated, there was no official ceremony or recognition event to mark the occasion.  At the 27 March 2008 monthly meeting, each of the original thirteen (13) current team members were presented with a "Plank Owner" plaque in recognition of their willingness to volunteer to help keep Woodbridge Township safe.  The following pictures depict the event.  To see a larger version of any picture, place your cursor over the desired picture and "double-click" the right mouse button.
