Sherry was born in California and raised in Iselin, the eldest of six children.

She was very active at New Dover United Methodist Church serving as church school teacher, superintendent, junior choir director, and administrative assistant to the pastor. She was a volunteer in many capacities at her children’s schools.

Sherry retired from the human recourses department of JFK Medical center, and later worked for the Woodbridge municipal court, and eventually on to the code enforcement office. She is married to her best friend, Skip, (also a CERT member) since 1969. They have two daughters: Kristie Lee, a teacher at Robert Mascenik School, mother of three sons, and Kirsten Lynn, who is financial consultant supervisor at Prudential Securities, and is expecting a child in December.

Sherry’s greatest loves are her grandchildren, Zack, Jake and Nathaniel, singing, music, family and friends. Sherry is proud to be a CERT member, and is certified in CPR and AED.  She looks forward to additional training as it becomes available to the team.
